Market design has recently launched a call for projects to be carried out during the period 2010-2013.
Market Design’s central area of interest is the design of the regulatory policies needed to ensure that electricity markets operate as efficiently as possible. Throughout the years focus has shifted from a national to a Nordic perspective, and, at times, a European perspective. Our aim in this fourth stage is to further emphasize the European perspective.
The main four working areas for Market Design's fourth phase will be:
- Integration of the Nordic electricity markets with those of the rest of Europe.
- The effects of climate and energy policy measures on the function of the electricity markets, and the need for regulatory changes in order to maintain an efficient market.
- The effects on the electricity market of new methods of metering, monitoring and control.
- The status of consumers on the electricity market.
A more detailed description of the Working Areas is available here. Please send your applications by email to monika.adsten@elforsk.se or by post to Elforsk (Monika Adsten), SE-101 53, Stockholm, Sweden.
